Traditional Breyer Horse Toys

The Breyer Traditional horse toys are the world’s ‘most asked for' horses since 1950! The Breyer Traditional horses are sculpted on a 1:9 scale and are typically about 12" long by 9" high. These horse toys are hand-painted and accurately detailed – no two traditional horse are exactly alike. Breyer’s Traditional line brings the world of horses alive with the most authentic and realistic model horse toys available today!

No other horse models have been more requested than the traditional horse toys. These models appeal to young and old horse riders and non-riders alike. The Breyer traditional models, that are rare and in good condition, can be a collectors item.

The most rare of Breyer traditional horse toys might sell for thousands of dollars, depending on how old they are, how many were made, and of course the condition of the horse model. Among the most collectible of all the traditional horse toys from Breyer are the horses called Misty and Stormy. Their creation was based upon horse characters in the semi-historical, semi-fictional children's book ‘Misty of Chincoteague' published in 1947.

Breyer traditional horse toys are often made to resemble famous real-world horses such as Newsworthy.  This is the big gray thoroughbred that several young riders have ridden to championships in some of the United States' most prestigious horse shows.
